Based in the Chew Valley in Bath & North East Somerset, I hold a Mountain Training Summer Mountain Leader Qualification and have more than 20 years’ experience of self-navigated walking in a wide range of locations within the British Isles. For me,  very few things beat the thrill of venturing deep into a wild and remote place, far away from traffic and crowds, and feeling truly at one with nature.

Particularly over recent months, we have all learnt the value of finding our own space and exploring new places. Knowing how to navigate well using a map is a huge advantage in getting outdoors and adventuring!

But many of us feel nervous about getting off the beaten track, especially with friends or family in tow. Where can we go? What if we get lost?

I am very excited to announce that from Autumn 2020, I will be running a range of navigation training courses in partnership with Go Wild Go West. These will range from family map-reading sessions for beginners, through to intermediate-level mountain navigation.

Follow your adventurous spirit and check this these courses out at http://www.gowildgowest.co.uk/events!
